Training for Employability Skills

S I T E has a carefully designed training calendar to impart training for Employability Skills continuously to all the students. The institution has a dedicated team of experts who are able to train the students in the following areas -

• Interview Skills

Besides training students on softskills, SITE outsources industry experts for technical training. In the academic year 2010-11, the institution trained all final year B Tech students on technical projects, technical aptitude (C, C++,Java, OS, Networking, Data Structures, DBMS, Analog Circuits, Digital Circuits, Micro Processors and Networking, Power Systems) with the help of industry experts.

Collaboration with Companies

SITE derives its strength by collaborating with some of the leading companies in India. Several experts deliver guest lectures and conduct workshops regularly. The advisory board includes many eminent industrialists and senior managers.

• SITE is associated with DATAMEDU, Hyderabad for training its students on softskills.
• SITE has an affiliation with Talent Sprint Academy, Hyderabad for technical training, projects and placements.
• SITE has an MOU with Honey Labs for Technical Training and Mini-Projects of B Tech Students.
• The college also has an affiliation with JKC (A division of Institute for Electronic Governance, A.P. State govt.) for training, certificate courses and placements.

Mentoring and Constant Appraisal

SITE adopts integrated counseling method where in each student’s multiple competencies and employability skills are continuously assessed by the training officer and subject experts together. Under this concept, each student is allotted to a mentor (a faculty member of SITE) who helps him/her academically, technically and emotionally to their success. Simultaneously the training officer arranges for the training.
